Medi-Clay from Premier Research is a deep-seated whole body detox*. Clay has a long, worldwide history of outstanding, health-promoting effects. It has been used extensively by many cultures for thousands of years.
Medi-Clay is a quantum-state, rare desert clay (calcium bentonite) with excellent, proven detoxifying properties. Medi-Clay is not ordinary clay. It works by adsorption and absorption to trap toxins. It has been obtained from a deep sub-surface mine in the southwestern desert area of the U.S. This mine has been uniquely protected from leaching and being oxidized by the climate. For over 43 million years, the clay deposit has been sealed away from the ravages of natural elements by a crust of zeolite minerals. Because its excellent adsorptive properties have not been compromised by air or groundwater contaminants, this highly charged, 100% pure calcium bentonite clay has significant drawing power that has proven to be unsurpassed.
Medi-Clay’s extremely strong adsorptive and absorptive properties make it ideal for use in deep cleansing of internal waste products, as well as effective total body detoxification. There is no purer or more significantly effective clay available in the world. The pH of Medi-Clay is 9.7 (highly alkaline), therefore it acts as an alkalizing agent in the body. The body’s pH level plays a critical role in its ability to help the body remain healthy and resist attack. Tissues in the body that are poorly oxygenated are acidic and prone to immune compromise. In contrast, healthy tissues are always alkaline. Blood, lymph, and cerebral spinal fluid in the human body are all designed to be alkaline when in a healthy state.*
Adsorption vs. Absorption
What is adsorption in the detoxifying power of clay? Adsorption is the process by which charged particles of toxic substances combine with the charged particles on the outer surface of the clay molecule. When clay has been “ripened” (i.e. mixed with water, then left overnight to fully hydrate its internal molecular structure), then the clay molecules’ highly charged ionic bonds are able to maximally seek out and attach to oppositely charged substances, such as toxins, waste byproducts, contaminants and other toxic substances. When the clay molecule and toxin molecule meet, the ions held on the outer surface of the clay molecule are exchanged with the ions held on the outside surface of the molecule of the toxic substance, thus neutralizing the toxic substance. Clay molecules carry a negative electrical charge, while toxins and other impurities have a positive charge. When clay is taken into the body, positively charged toxins (anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract) are attracted to the negatively charged surfaces of the clay molecules. Then an exchange reaction occurs in which the clay mineral ions are swapped for the ions of the toxic substances. The clay molecules’ charges are now electrically satisfied, but the clay still holds onto the entrapped toxins until the body is able to eliminate both.
How does absorption work in the detoxifying power of clay? In contrast to adsorption, absorption is a slower and more complex process. Acting like a sponge, the clay molecule is able to draw other substances into its internal structure (not just ionic bonding on its surface). Absorption occurs when the foreign substance has first undergone a chemical change and is then pulled into the clay’s molecular inner structure. The toxins that were formerly only sticking to the surface of the clay’s outer structure through ionic bonding are now pulled deep inside the clay molecule. As substances are pulled into the clay’s inner structure, the clay’s molecules expand. All absorbent clays have charged ions on their inner layers. The charged ions sit between the layers of the clay molecules surrounded by water molecules. As foreign substances are absorbed by the clay, the clay expands and fills the spaces between its molecules’ stacked layers. Absorbent clay absorbs positively charged toxins, waste and other impurities to be cleared from the body while leaving negatively charged nutrients to be used by the body – an elegant arrangement. After mixing Medi-Clay with water (and then allowing it to set overnight to “ripen”), it can be successfully taken internally. It helps to cleanse the system by eliminating positively charged toxins, waste products and other noxious substances, thus helping to build healthy tissue. Medi-Clay supplies the purest, most effective clay detox capacity available today.
Ingredients:
Servings (1/8 tsp.) per container: approx. 326
Each 1/8 tsp.(0.5g)contains:
100% Pure Calcium Bentonite Powder 0.5g
Other Ingredients: None.
Recommended Use:
Adults: take 1/8 tsp. of Medi-Clay powder mixed in 8 oz. of purified water daily. For best results, take 1/2 teaspoon of Clay Hydrate (see below) in 8 oz. of purified water daily.
Clay Hydrate: To make Clay Hydrate, mix a 1:10 mixture of clay powder to purified water. Mix 1 tablespoon of dry clay powder for every 10 tablespoons of water in a glass container (not plastic). Or fill any glass container with 9/10 water, then add 1/10 clay powder and stir thoroughly. Let sit overnight before use. Be sure to cap the container tightly. The Clay Hydrate will develop a thick, creamy texture. The Clay Hydrate may be stored in a glass container indefinitely - just use when needed. Keep tightly capped.
